Canada is a carcass which China, India and Iran have picked over.
No one seems to have a problem with that until Trump said something.
Here come the caps.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford is keeping the manufacturer of his chapeau under his hat.
Ford this past week has been making headlines with his MAGA-esque ball cap that states, "Canada is not for sale."
The hat, modelled after incoming President Donald Trump's red hats that state, "Make America Great Again," are ironically a jab at the president elect himself, who has repeatedly remarked he'd like Canada to become America's 51st state.
Ford acquired the merchandise from Jackpine Dynamic Branding, in Ottawa. The company’s founder, Liam Mooney, who the premier thanked for the "fantastic hat."
"I was proud to wear it this morning to deliver the message that we need to put country first," wrote Ford on social media Wednesday.
"Everyday Canadians are stepping up, united and proud. As the hat says, Canada is not for sale."
Ford, however, did not respond to the Western Standard's request for comment as to where the hats are sourced from. The vast majority of printable merchandise like hats, tee shirts and mugs, and manufactured en mass offshore in countries like China.
Oops.
