Your Worthless Government and You

The installed bobbleheads may be different but the game to defraud Canada of a future remains the same:

The annual rate of inflation accelerated sharply to 2.6 per cent in February as the federal government’s temporary tax break came to an end mid-month, Statistics Canada said Tuesday.

That marks a sizeable jump from the 1.9 per cent increase seen in January, when Canadians saw GST and HST taken off a variety of household staples, common gifts and restaurant bills for the entire month.

The office of Canada’s independent Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) took the unusual step of putting out a factual update on Thursday, after critics, including Liberal Energy Minister Jonathan Wilkinson, questioned the findings of a PBO analysis linking the proposed federal emissions cap to deep job losses.

It’s the latest in a series of attacks by the federal Liberals against the PBO over estimates that show negative economic consequences for their climate policy.

If Trump wanted to take over Canada, he would march in and do it.

Way to stoke anti-Americanism there, failed Ontario premier:

Bob Rae, the Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations, says U.S. President Donald Trump’s aggression towards Canada isn’t about fentanyl at the border, it’s about stealing Canada’s land and resources.

Also - they laughed AT and not WITH you, Melanie:

Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly says some of her G7 counterparts from Europe thought the United States is joking about annexing Canada.
Ms. Joly’s comments come after symbolic gestures and tepid comments on Canadian sovereignty at this week’s G7 meeting, which took place in the region of Charlevoix in Quebec.
“I think many of my colleagues coming here thought this issue was still a joke and that this had to be taken in a humorous way,” Ms. Joly said in a news conference concluding the G7 foreign ministers' meeting.
“But I’ve said to them ‘this is not a joke. Canadians are anxious. Canadians are proud people, and you are here in a sovereign country. And so therefore, we don’t expect this to be even discussed, or to be clearly not laughed at.’”

Just control the chaos.

It should be easy:

An internal RCMP report warns of an increase in “stalking and harassment” of politicians during this election year, citing anti-Israel street demonstrations as a major concern.

“Flash protests present a significant challenge to law enforcement’s ability to provide sufficient protection for VIPs,” the report stated.

Blacklock's Reporter says it referenced an April 3 incident in Toronto, where pro-Palestinian demonstrators disrupted a banquet for the Italian delegation, forcing the abrupt cancellation of an event featuring Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

The truth of the matter is that the Stasi cares only about pesky truckers and not the "Death to Israel" crowd.

Change my mind.

Last year, the province of New Brunswick had a billion dollar surplus.

What a difference a change of government makes:

A $50-million contingency fund to deal with U.S. tariff threats has caused New Brunswick’s projected deficit for the coming fiscal year to balloon to nearly $600 million.

Finance Minister Rene Legacy says the “daily pivoting in direction on tariffs” from U.S. President Donald Trump makes the contingency fund necessary.

The provincial Liberal government’s first budget since winning election in October comes in the midst of a trade war with the United States and the threat of a sweeping 25 per cent tariff on goods from Canada.

Yes, that's what it must be.

Let them fight:

The Treasury Board is hiring private tutors to coach Black federal employees on how to learn French, records show. Too few Black staff are passing bilingual proficiency tests required for promotion as executives, it said: “Language training has been identified as a barrier for Black employees’ advancement.”
