Mississippi: Come for the Beauty, Stay to Fry Heather Mallick

I've written a couple of these posts to know how it's done.

Some idiot- in this case, the perennially mentally unglued Heather Mallick- says something utterly stupid about Americans (or Alberta) because characterising that person or thing as antediluvian distracts any audience from the plain fact the idiot in question is a total jackanapes, has no idea what he or she is talking about and shouldn't be trusted to water a fern.

The article wasn't even about Mississippi but certainly does highlight Heather Mallick's idiocy, irrational fear of Americans (in this case, the good people of Mississippi) and the left's paternalistic racism toward aboriginals (God forbid they should ever be treated as adults and citizens and be held to account for what they do just like everyone else!). I couldn't get past the word "Mississippian"(re: characterisation, antediluvian). One just knows the article will smack of a kind of emotional retardation that causes one to wonder why the writer is employed at all.

At any rate, do visit Mississippi, home to better writers than Heather Mallick could ever be like Shelby Foote, Eudora Welty, William Faulker and Tennessee Williams, and tell her what a wonderful time you had.

And let's not forget Jim Henson.

(with thanks)
