The Police Are Useless

The only thing they are good for is trampling old ladies at the government's behest:

It’s frustratingly similar to other spree-killing-turned-manhunts handled by the RCMP in the past. In 2019, this was the treatment the public received when two Port Alberni, B.C., teens killed three people and led police on a three-week manhunt from B.C. to Manitoba. In 2020, the RCMP failed to communicate in a timely manner with the public during the 13-hour Nova Scotia mass shooting by Gabriel Wortman, who killed 22.

Warnings appear to have been delayed Sunday. The RCMP’s timeline of the stabbings show that locals weren’t officially warned for a precious hour. The initial 911 call came in at 5:40 a.m., reporting a stabbing at James Smith Cree Nation. In the minutes that followed, more calls reported more stabbings in different locations. Officers from Melfort, a town roughly 30 minutes away by road, were sent “immediately” — likely arriving sometime before 6:10 a.m.. An hour later, at 7:12 a.m., RCMP warned the local area.

It shouldn’t have taken police a whopping 90 minutes to warn locals. This was a life-or-death situation from the first call, if not by the second and third. It’s quite possible that a warning could have flagged some to the danger that morning.

In Canada, the public is told to rely solely on the police to protect oneself

The use of self-defense is prohibited.

I would be surprised if someone lost his or her job over this.

It won't happen, of course.

Accountability and efficiency are not virtues embraced by the governmental classes.
