Mid-Week Post

From the most corrupt plutocracy still infecting the dominion:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's talent agency has destroyed five years of records on speaking fees, Blacklock's Reporter reports. The records date between the years 2008-2013.

The Parliamentary Ethics Committee requested records on all of Trudeau's speaking engagements since 2008 with Speakers' Spotlight Toronto. The committee has been seeking the records since July, but has been subject to filibusters by Liberal MPs to prevent their release.

The revelation is likely to further fuel accusations of corruption against the Liberal Party and Justin Trudeau. Opposition parties attempted to set up a committee to investigate corruption in government in response to the WE Charity scandal, but the motion was shot down after the Liberals threatened to dissolve government and call an election mid-pandemic if the motion was passed. According to the Liberal Party, such a motion would be treated as a non-confidence vote.

Now let this report sink in:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he is “deeply disappointed” by how Toronto MP Yasmin Ratansi handled her office.

Ratansi said Monday she’s leaving the Liberal caucus after admitting she employed a relative at her constituency office.

Only Justin and his ex-wife can cheat the public, Miss Ratansi.

Also - the CBC dutifully reports that Miss Ratansi was a dreadful bigot.

Trudeau now has a documented history of performing in blackface from at least 1994 to 2001. That’s throughout most of his 20s.

He was also evidently quite serious about it. The pictures and video we’ve seen aren’t those of someone who quickly tossed on a bit of face paint as some sort of last minute poor decision. He’s covered his knees in one of them. He’s done his full neck, ears and hands in the other. That takes work. That takes planning. It takes commitment.

That was your squirrel moment for the day.

It's no wonder that Justin and his government want to control the media and the message:

I would hope that the only reason we were not consulted is because the government already has our report at the top of the pile of expert opinions considering the question of whether limits on Canadians’ constitutionally-protected freedom of expression can or should be imposed. If not, and if this list constitutes the extent of their consultation, it would appear that they went looking for the specific answers they wanted, rather than striking a good faith consultation of all perspectives on this important issue.”

That any group would wish to participate in this sham where the government will entertain and then carry out the policing of all media boggles the mind.

No minds will be changed, no bigotries stamped out, no opportunities to correct misinformation will be presented, nothing. The government is the censor and its goal was never to eliminate social ills but shape opinions and prevent criticism of itself.

See below:

A federal agency in a revised Code Of Ethics forbid employees from criticizing the government in the press. Cabinet in 2019 Ministerial Mandate letters described media engagement including public criticism as essential: ‘Do not demoralize or offend others through cynicism.’

Parliament must enact laws to curb Communist Party propaganda in the Chinese-Canadian community, a former editor of the nation’s largest Chinese-language daily yesterday told MPs. Foreign agents have attempted to infiltrate Chinese-Canadian groups, he said: “The ultimate goal is to brainwash.”

One could simply not let China have free reign in Canada and just admit that political multiculturalism that has balkanised the country is a failure but that would be asking too much.

It's just an economy:

In a normal year, the creation of 83,600 jobs in October would be a positive thing.

However, that is an immense decline from the 378,000 jobs created in September.

Additionally, job gains had averaged 395,000 since the nadir of the CCP Virus Crisis.

Now, if this slowing of new jobs happened at a level where we recovered fully from the initial job losses, it wouldn’t be an issue.

But we are still far short.

At this point, 1.1 million Canadians have either lost their jobs, or are working severely reduced hours.

Also, the unemployment rate barely dipped, dropping from 9% to 8.9%.

That problem has been made worse by two facts:

  • First, interest rates have been low for a long-time, and when they rise, the cost of servicing the debt will increase dramatically.
  • Second, the policies being pushed by the Liberal government are anti-growth, and economic weakness will make it far less likely that we can ‘outgrow’ the debt.

So, it appears the Finance Minister is having as much trouble talking about the debt as the Liberals are having dealing with it.

The federal carbon tax must increase fivefold, up to $289 per tonne or 69¢ per litre of gasoline, if cabinet is to meet emissions targets, the Parliamentary Budget Office said yesterday. The report confirmed a secret 2015 memo the Department of Environment earlier dismissed as hypothetical: “So, the question is — ?”

Looking forward to the new year.

Canada was never serious about tackling terrorism and don't believe for a moment that it was:

An Ottawa man who was convicted of attempting to become a combatant on behalf of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was granted overnight privileges to visit a ski resort with his girlfriend, Global News reports.

Remember - the real enemies here aren't terrorists  who butcher fifty people for fun but Christians

Their prayers are far more injurious than having Islamists hack off heads with rusty blades.

My dear Dr. Janz, you simply don't understand. Just like the Nazi programs to eliminate the disabled (which preceded the ghastly Final Solution), euthanasia is meant to eliminate the elderly, the sick and disabled so that coddled Canadians won't have to ponder their own mortal fragility and respond with any sort of compassion or innovation. Too much work:

Disability advocates are raising concerns over the Liberal government’s new assisted dying law, saying it lacks safeguards that would protect Canada’s most vulnerable people.

In the House of Commons justice committee on Tuesday, one witness described the “norm-shattering legislation” that would allow patients with non-terminal illnesses to be euthanized.

Their comments come as Parliament studies Bill C-7, which updates the Liberal government’s medical assistance in dying (MAID) regime, first introduced in 2016. The new legislation removes a provision that the natural death of a patient must be “reasonably foreseeable,” in response to a Quebec Superior Court decision in 2019 that the original law unconstitutionally restricted assisted death to terminally ill patients.

But disability advocates say the new law could ultimately lead disabled people in particular to seek euthanasia even in cases where the patient might recover to full health, and called on Ottawa to make adjustments to the proposed bill.

Dr. Heidi Janz, committee chair at the Council of Canadians with Disabilities, expressed her “alarm at the breakneck speed at which this committee is operating,” and called on members to extend public consultations on the legislation.

Taylor Hyatt, who sits on the same committee as Janz and lives with cerebral palsy, described her own personal experience with assisted dying after her long fight with a bad bout of pneumonia.

Hyatt said her doctor at one point suggested the possibility of medically assisted death, an experience that she worries will be replicated many times over if Bill C-7 passes. She eventually recovered from her illness, and says today that medical professionals overlooked the chances that Hyatt, who was then in her 20s, would return to health.

“All the doctor seemed to see, though, was a disabled woman alone, sick, tired and probably tired of living,” she said.

(Sidebar: the comments to this article prove that all Hitler had to do was wait a few years before people accepted the wholesale legalised murder of the sick and disabled. Why did men bleed the fields of Europe? For this?)

The same government that let in the virus that originated in Wuhan is also too busy to answer questions about but is certainly happy to let the Americans save its fat from the fire

Health Minister Patty Hajdu upset members of the House of Commons Health committee by only allowing them 45 minutes to question her on the government’s handling of the pandemic.

Pfizer Inc’s announcement that its experimental COVID-19 vaccine is more than 90% effective is “very encouraging” and Canada is looking to secure more doses of it, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Monday.

A judge temporarily stops quackery:

A B.C. Supreme Court judge has stopped a transgender teen’s double mastectomy days before it was to go ahead, granting the teen’s mother a court order delaying the surgery for almost a month.

Madam Justice Shelley C. Fitzpatrick granted the “interlocutory injunction” against cosmetic surgeon Dr. Daniel McKee and the teen’s doctor, Dr. Andrea Szewchuk, after the request from the mother.

It looks like nothing is is sewn up in the United States. Credible accusations of voter fraud are cropping up everywhere

More than 20,000 absentee ballots in Pennsylvania have impossible return dates and another more than 80,000 have return dates that raise questions, according to a researcher’s analysis of the state’s voter database.

Over 51,000 ballots were marked as returned just a day after they were sent out—an extraordinary speed, given U.S. Postal Service (USPS) delivery times, while nearly 35,000 were returned on the same day they were mailed out. Another more than 23,000 have a return date earlier than the sent date. More than 9,000 have no sent date.

For Wisconsin overall, the turnout was above 90% of registered voters. Even in a state with same-day registration, such a number seems implausible.
After all, in Australia, a place where voting is mandatory, and failing to vote is punishable with stiff fines, the total turnout for the most recent election was still only 92%.
Even more importantly, looking within the Wisconsin vote, the decisive locale for Biden was, unsurprisingly, Milwaukee. Wisconsin’s largest city reported an 84% turnout to secure a 145,916 vote lead there for Biden.
Consider a comparison to another very similar Midwestern city, Cleveland, OH. Milwaukee has a population of 590,000, 67% of them minorities. Cleveland has 381,000 people with 60% of them minorities.
But Milwaukee’s 84% turnout dwarfs Cleveland’s more believable 51% turnout rate. Like many of the suspect statistical trends evident from last Tuesday, the abnormal factors favoring Biden seem only present in the key swing states that Biden allegedly won.

David A. Kallman, senior counsel with the Great Lakes Justice Center, is representing two plaintiffs in a suit filed on Nov. 9 against the city of Detroit and Wayne County alleging “numerous issues of fraud and misconduct” in relation to the processing and counting of votes in the county. Wayne County, where Detroit is located, is Michigan’s largest county.

**
Thousands of mail-in ballots from people who weren’t properly registered to vote were added to vote counts in Detroit, Michigan, a poll watcher alleged in a sworn affidavit.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business, Giuliani said as many as 900,000 invalid ballots were cast in Pennsylvania, and that the Trump campaign will reveal this evidence in court. Bartiromo asked Giuliani if the Trump campaign believes it has enough evidence that it could alter the apparent results of the election.

Well, it looks like no one can be certain about speaking to King Biden.

What an interesting map (so far):

Tyranny has prevailed in Hong Kong:

Hong Kong’s opposition bloc resigned en masse on Wednesday after China moved to disqualify lawmakers who aren’t deemed sufficiently loyal, one of Beijing’s strongest actions yet to quash dissent in the territory.

Fifteen members of the pro-democracy camp in the 70-seat Legislative Council quit following the disqualification of four members under Beijing’s new rules. The announcement was made at a joint briefing, at which the lawmakers held hands and chanted protest slogans including “Hong Kong add oil – together we stand.”

And now, is Remembrance Day even worth noting?

As one has seen above, Canadians are happy to let a corrupt government ruin its economy and flout existing laws, even kill the weakest members of society and marginalise other citizens, but they will display the usual social pieties of mask-wearing or poppy-wearing.

At least they did:

A new poll from Historica Canada shows that less Canadians are wearing poppies and attending Remembrance Day ceremonies. The poll also suggests that Canadians are less knowledgeable on the country’s military history, reports Global News.

Indeed. What is worse - a society that shuffles through the shallow platitudes and public signs of expected behaviour only to mean none of it or a society that is at least honest with itself and refuses to honour the freedoms and virtues for which men fought and died?

We have seen civilisations come to a close because they have rejected the things that blood paid for.
