We Don't Have to Trade With China

Trading with China did not democratise it, did not free its people, it did not allow dissent or belief to flourish, did not raise the standard of living or working and did not bring peace to the region.

AND WE ALL KNOW IT:

A major leak containing a register with the details of nearly two million CCP members has occurred – exposing members who are now working all over the world, while also lifting the lid on how the party operates under Xi Jinping, says Sharri Markson.

Ms Markson said the leak is a register with the details of Communist Party members, including their names, party position, birthday, national ID number and ethnicity.

“It is believed to be the first leak of its kind in the world,” the Sky News host said.

“What's amazing about this database is not just that it exposes people who are members of the communist party, and who are now living and working all over the world, from Australia to the US to the UK,” Ms Markson said.

“But it's amazing because it lifts the lid on how the party operates under President and Chairman Xi Jinping”.

Mr Murray said Canada, according to "secret leaked military documents," was going to have Chinese soldiers doing military exercises in Canada.

(Sidebar: ahem ...)

"Because you see Justin Trudeau is one of these lefty politicians who thinks that there's something benevolent about China," Mr Murray said.

"One of the ways China gets what it wants is by playing to the vanity of politician," he said.

(Sidebar: and how!)

"Another way China gets its hooks into people is that they slowly, but surely, work on MPs," he said.

Ezra Levant’s boisterous Rebel Media released government documents on Wednesday that showed that the CAF trains the PLA on cold weather combat, right here in Canada. When the CAF tried to scale back contacts with the PLA in 2019 after China kidnapped the Two Michaels, senior diplomats in the foreign affairs ministry took umbrage — against our own military and on the PLA side.

Post reported on it on Thursday. The Globe and Mail assigned two of its most senior reporters to it, Robert Fife and Steven Chase.

Yet two days afterward, the CBC main news site (cbc.ca) had no mention of it. The CBC ran that same day a long commentary on how our ambassador in Beijing, Dominic Barton, has been clever enough to learn that China is a tyranny, not only a mass market. But no room for the Chinese appeasement story.

Over on CTV (ctv.ca), there was no room for the PLA documents either. What might have caught CTV’s attention instead? They covered a study from the University of Guelph which found that “honeybees use feces to ward off murder hornets.”

Pepper Wok’s owner declined to comment, saying that she planned to hold a news conference Tuesday to discuss the incidents. On the cafĂ©’s Facebook page, she thanked patrons for their support during “these tough situations during past few days,” and apologized for long wait times.

The episode underscores a sharp split in the Chinese diaspora here, with some — especially relatively recent immigrants from the mainland — more likely to back Beijing in its crackdown on Hong Kong protesters than others.
