Today In Coronavirus Screw-Up News

A dog-and-pony show would have been better organised:

Digital Services Minister Joyce Murray privately complained Canada was too reliant on contractors in China for urgently needed pandemic supplies, according to internal emails. Murray questioned why Canada did not award contracts to suppliers in Taiwan, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of personal protective equipment: “Minister Murray is concerned.”

And why didn't Canada produce its own equipment and medicines?

The poll found that respondents in Atlantic Canada were the least supportive of having a vaccine status identification card or digital app for local use, with 37 per cent saying they are against this type of certification, followed by Alberta (35 per cent) and Ontario (30 per cent).

The provinces that were most in favour of this kind of proof of vaccination system are Quebec, with 74 per cent of respondents in that province in support, followed by respondents in Manitoba/Saskatchewan (74 per cent) and B.C. (71 per cent).

Ask one's self why proof of the measles vaccination is not required when one buys milk.

I'll wait.

It's really simple - don't let them in:

The flight ban, which the Liberals brought into effect on April 22, is just one of the many hurdles these students say they’re facing. Some booked into quarantine hotels — now no longer mandated — and are trying to get their money back; others paid for flights that now can’t take off, and are hunting for refunds; while some are circumventing the ban by coming to Canada via a third country, which is still allowed; and others, unable to afford the significantly higher flight costs, say they are fighting to get refunds on their tuition from reluctant universities.

Consider that one is willing to punish people for getting hair cuts or going to the movies without proof the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh booster shots of these magical flu elixirs everyone insists work. Why bring in people you cannot ascertain are well?

Also:

The United Nations-backed global vaccination effort is offering additional doses of coronavirus vaccines to North Korea, one of few countries yet to start inoculating residents after a delay in a distribution program slated to begin this summer.

The same UN that lets China, North Korea's backer, sit permanently on the security council.

The same country that takes and takes and threatens the region.

The same flu shots that are questionable to say the least.
