Wednesday, 2010 (AD)

We don't really have to say "AD", actually.

Frustration compounded with punk:

A five-year-old Saskatchewan boy who lost a leg in a lawn mower accident is being bullied on the school bus and school officials aren't helping, argues the boy's father.

Robert Coomber says his son, Ryan, got a black eye after being hit by an older student on the bus ride between the school in Assiniboia and the family home in Willow Bunch, about two hours southwest of Regina.

"I asked him why. He said it was because he was singing," said Coomber.

Coomber said he called the older student's parents but they were unwilling to help. The next call was to the RCMP.

"The RCMP came and took photos of Ryan's face and said that we were in full rights to press charges, but we decided not to, that we would let the school handle it instead of putting this kid through the justice system," said Coomber. "Instead of handling it, they removed Ryan from the bus because they said it was unsafe for him."

Coomber said there was no co-operation from staff at Ryan's school or at the older student's school, which he said "refused outright to discipline the child in any way." Ryan's school goes up to Grade 4 and the older student's school covers Grades 5 to 8, but they share a bus.

Coomber said an official with the Prairie South School Division told him that it would be best if he drove Ryan the 50 kilometres each way to kindergarten.

I think I have a better solution. Instead of the disabled five year old child commuting fifty kilometres each way, why not remove the offending punk for trench-digging duty? The school staff and administration can help the previously mentioned brat.

One would think he appeared at the University of Ottawa:

A Swedish artist whose drawing of the Prophet Muhammad offended Muslims said Wednesday he hopes to get another chance to deliver a lecture on free speech that was interrupted by violent protests.

But officials at Uppsala University said they doubted they would invite Lars Vilks again after police used pepper spray and batons to help him escape a furious crowd Tuesday.

Niqabs to be welcomed at a Quebec school:

At a time when niqabs have become a controversial symbol of the debate over accommodation in Quebec, Parkdale Elementary School in St. Laurent is holding its first Multicultural Week next week – and moms wearing niqabs will be warmly welcomed.

“We have several students who wear hijabs and mothers who wear niqabs,” said principal Itrat Ahmad. “The students here accept it as natural. And we want the parents to know they are welcome here and that even if their children are from other countries, they are an important part of the fabric of this school.”

“It’s a great way for the students to learn about each other’s cultures,” said Ahmad. “We want them to know there is more than just food from different countries.”

While many people enjoy the taste of multicultural Kool-Aid, it is best to remember that how women and minorities both ethnic and religious are treated in Islamic countries. If there is any learning to be done, it should be done on their part.

Because he's Ezra Levant.

Rather, it will be a cold day in hell:

Russia said on Wednesday it may lift the veil of secrecy over its nuclear arsenal after a new strategic arms reduction treaty with the United States comes into force.

In an attempt to bolster U.S. President Barack Obama's non-proliferation efforts, the United States on May 3 dispensed with decades of Cold War secrecy and published the size of its U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko praised the U.S. step and said Russia would consider doing the same after the ratification of the nuclear arms deal signed by Obama and Kremlin chief Dmitry Medvedev last month.

Once again, Obama is a moron.

In conclusion, a very capable dog.

Regarding the Saskatchewan story: It sounds like the RCMP have it in perspective and the school faculty and administration does NOT. I thought the calibre of people who work in Education was supposed to have become more competitive and IMPROVED since I was in Elem.-high school. It has become clear in the 2000's that I was wrong about that. I think the bully kid should have been forced to spend 30 minutes in the pit at the Riverdales concert I went to in Toronto on Saturday night. All signs point to yes-s-s-s-s-s-s-s!!!

Maybe that would be too good for him.
