A bit going on ...
You can run away to London on a plane on which you can't return and you can even blame a man who hasn't been in office for nearly five years but you can't run away from the truth:
**
Because, Chris, Canadians don't care that they are seen as - how did you put it? - "a deadbeat brother". They are leeches of free will and unnecessary flattery. They depend on a crooked government to provide for them and world opinion to coddle them. That way, they can feel secure in hating a man who correctly points out that a nation that can defend and lead itself just won't.
The bottom has already fallen out. When Canada finally becomes the former Soviet Union with no government and even less money, where will the smugness that they have depended upon be?
Also:
Mexico is right to be worried even if Justin isn't:
If the US doesn't ratify the new deal, it could very well go back to piecemeal operations and tariffs.
Now who thinks it's alright to talk smack behind Trump's back?
I hope that every other province (though probably not eastern Canada because the welfare is so sweet!) decides that they want their own room as Quebec has:
Oh, just tax everyone already!:
Carbon isn't a pollutant and taxes pay for booze on planes (the ones that don't break down).
B!#ch, please. You're going to retire soon and this is the hill you want to die on?:
Also - you were caught. Just stop:
Andy, you had your chance and you blew it. Now, make your way quietly to the exits without causing a scene:
Some outsider has something to say about an issue in Canada that no one really cares about anyway.
Whatever.
Canadians are horrified of religion and atheists don't really believe in science, anyway:

How is that Singapore thing working out?:
The brain-trusts at Imgur just don't realise who they are dealing with:
To repeat:
And that is why Ted Cruz is the Man.
You can run away to London on a plane on which you can't return and you can even blame a man who hasn't been in office for nearly five years but you can't run away from the truth:
Trudeau’s gossiping (and now, broken plane) has, to absolutely no benefit, brought the president’s attention onto us and our chronic national defence freeloading, at a time when we need the U.S. more than is normally the case … and also at a time when the president’s own domestic political problems are no doubt giving him lots of good reasons to lash out at opponents abroad.

Honestly, I’ve never understood how or why the world puts up with our skinflint sanctimony. But it’s tremendously unfortunate that it had to be Trump, of all people, to call us out. Whatever you think of the president, he is radioactively unpopular in Canada. If Trump thinks we should spend two per cent of our GDP on the military, not just a few Canadians will find themselves suddenly wanting us to reduce it to zero, withdraw from NATO and sell off what materiel we have for scrap. I look forward to any number of think pieces questioning the wisdom of the two per cent target — which is fair enough, but we should be talking about our dead-obvious needs, not targets.
Because, Chris, Canadians don't care that they are seen as - how did you put it? - "a deadbeat brother". They are leeches of free will and unnecessary flattery. They depend on a crooked government to provide for them and world opinion to coddle them. Also:
I think I might try Trudeau’s “it’s the participation certificate that counts” approach next April when it comes time to pay my income taxes. We shouldn’t be fixated with an arbitrary number, I’ll tell the people at the Canada Revenue Agency. Look at my record. I have consistently stepped up. I’ve been there for you year in, year out. And the number I talk about is a whopping big increase in my contributions over these past few years. Why in 1985 I paid about a tenth what I pay now. Imagine: a 10-fold increase! I have certainly been doing my bit, don’t you agree?
I’m guessing they won’t agree but will instead hold me to the exact tax commitment Parliament made on my behalf.
Will Trudeau take this new understanding of contribution — that shares of GDP aren’t important, absolute scale is what really counts — from defence into other areas of public policy? Debt, for instance.
Mexico is right to be worried even if Justin isn't:
Mexico’s top trade negotiator said Wednesday that two or three issues must be resolved to Mexico’s satisfaction before finalizing a new trade agreement with United States and Canada.
Jesus Seade told reporters he has been working hard the last few days to reach agreement on a final version that answers demands made by U.S. House Democrats as part of the legislative ratification process.
“Let’s hope (it will all be over) in the coming days, but I don’t want to speculate,” Seade said after meeting with his U.S. counterpart, Robert Lighthizer, for about three hours.
Saskatchewan is seeking immigration powers like the ones that exist in Quebec, said Moe, who added his minister of trade and immigration has put the request forward to the federal government.
Moe is also looking to Quebec as an example of how a province can collect its own taxes and said Saskatchewan is exploring a similar option.
“What would it take for resources if we chose to do this? What would be the advantages, disadvantages? These are fair discussions. I’m just being transparent with the discussions we’re having.”
Oh, just tax everyone already!:
The federal Liberals will not make a decision about hiking the carbon price beyond $50 a tonne for at least another two years, Environment Minister Jonathan Wilkinson says.
Wilkinson said his first priority in the new Parliament will be figuring out how Canada is going to meet its target for cutting greenhouse gas emissions made four years ago as part of the Paris climate change agreement.
Carbon isn't a pollutant and taxes pay for booze on planes (the ones that don't break down).

Elizabeth May says the support of the Green Party for Thursday’s throne speech is contingent on climate action and funding for the only private abortion clinic in Fredericton.
Also - you were caught. Just stop:
The pro-life group filed a defamation lawsuit against Dr. Savita Ginde, a former Planned Parenthood chief medical officer who was captured on camera describing the abortion industry's organ harvesting operations. Ginde has claimed the videos are edited and fake on multiple occasions. In one video, Ginde is seen with another Planned Parenthood employee discussing the potential sale of fetal tissue and noting that some fetuses can come out of an abortion completely intact. The videos, recorded by Daleiden and another activist posing as prospective fetal body part buyers, were publicized in 2015.
Andy, you had your chance and you blew it. Now, make your way quietly to the exits without causing a scene:
“My message to Justin Trudeau is this: Vacation time is over. No more free rides,” The Conservative leader told MPs and Senators.
Some outsider has something to say about an issue in Canada that no one really cares about anyway.
Whatever.
Canadians are horrified of religion and atheists don't really believe in science, anyway:
While the majority of Canadians profess some belief in God or a higher power, nearly a third would like to see Canada become a more secular nation, according to a new public opinion poll.
(Sidebar: M-103, stupids.)
The study by the Angus Reid Institute, conducted in partnership with the Christian think-tank Cardus, found that six-in-ten Canadians say that freedom of religion makes Canada a better country. One-in-ten Canadians think the opposite.

A self-styled “church of atheism” has been denied charity tax status after the Federal Court of Appeal agreed with the Minister of National Revenue that it is not actually a religion, even though it claims to have a minister, 10 commandments, and a worshipful relationship to the “sacred texts” of what it calls “mainstream science.”
Carbon isn't a pollutant.

How is that Singapore thing working out?:
In short, signals from both the U.S. and North Korea show that the denuclearization charade has dragged on long enough. There are two possibilities. Kim never intended to scrap his nuclear weapons, and he will show his true face soon. He will probably resume full-fledged provocations and force the U.S. to respond with tougher sanctions. There is no telling what Trump will do then.
Archaeologists using ground-penetrating radar found a big mound carved into a western Norwegian island – along with the remains of a “huge” ship as long as 55 feet, Paasche told The Washington Post, in a discovery that may tell new tales about how the ships evolved to become fearsome and agile vessels more than 1,000 years ago.
