Just to Be Clear, the Trudeau Government Has ZERO Interest In Holding Iran to Account

As if his brother working for the Iranians wasn't a big enough clue.

And these items:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's sweeping sanctions relief for Iran will be a boon for Canadian businesses, but thawing relations between the two countries is not without risks for the Liberal government, say experts.

(Sidebar: that news items didn't age well.)

Listing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist entity would undermine efforts by the Trudeau government to properly investigate the Iranian plane crash, says Canada's last ambassador to the country.

Really? Because that sounds like cowardice and hiding the fact that PM Blackface's brother helped produce propaganda for the Iranians.

I suppose it is much easier to have blameless Canadian taxpayers shell out $25,000 per victim than it is to force Iran to compensate the victims' families, as was promised, or seize any remaining assets and use those instead.

It's not Justin's trust-fund money so why does he care?

In the mean-time, Iran is handing over the data flight recorder of the airplane it shot down:

Iran will transfer the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder of a crashed Boeing aircraft to Ukraine for further investigation, according to Iranian media.

“The black boxes of Flight 752 will not be decoded in Iran and will be transferred to Ukraine instead as per the country’s request,” semi-official Tasnim news agency reported, citing Hassan Rezaeifar, head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization’s accident-investigation office.

Vaguely related:

Premier Doug Ford called the Iranian leadership a “ruthless, evil regime” Thursday as he announced scholarships to honour the 57 Canadians killed when their Ukraine International Airline was blown out of the sky over Tehran.

“Innocent lives got shot down by a ruthless, careless Iranian regime,” Ford said. “I want to send a message — and it may not get over there — I support the (anti-government) protesters that are out there. We believe in democracy here in Canada and we’d like to see nothing less than democracy in Iran.”

Ford met with families of some of the victims and he said they blamed the Iranian regime for their tragic loss and they want justice.

Canada will respect any decision by the Iraqi government to expel foreign troops from the country, Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan said Friday, even as reports suggested the United States was considering sanctions and cuts to military aid should Baghdad give American forces the boot.

Coward.
