Why Is No One Asking the Obvious?

Like why do children get grotesque ideas only after being in a locked room with teachers and guidance counsellors?:

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says her province will not permit medical transitioning or puberty blockers for children as part of newly announced policies.

“For minors, aged 17 and under top and bottom, gender reassignment surgeries will not be permitted,” Ms. Smith said in a video posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Jan. 31.

She also said that those under 15 years of age will not be allowed to take puberty blockers or hormone therapies as part of gender reassignment therapy. 

The move makes Alberta the only province to ban gender transition medical procedures for children. A number of U.S. states have already implemented the ban for children.

In neighbouring Saskatchewan, the government mandated that if a child wishes to use a different name or gender pronoun in schools, their parents will be required to give consent, if the student is aged 16 or under.

The rules will be more strict in Alberta.

For those aged 15 and under, parents will be notified and will be required to give consent to their child’s new name or pronoun.

For those aged 16 or 17, parents will be notified but will not be required to give consent.

“We know that nearly all parents, even those who may disagree with the decision of their children, will love and care for their children no matter what choices they make,” Smith said.

 

How did we come to the point where not only is this madness accepted but that any parental involvement must be bargained?
