Nothing has changed:
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese spoke a total of 5,022 words in the day after the slaughter of Jews at Bondi Beach. And not one of those words was “Islam.” Or “Muslim.” Or even “Islamic extremism.”
He did talk about the “far right” though. Twice. We need to tackle “the rise of right-wing extremist groups,” he said.
What an odd thing to focus on the day after a father-and-son Islamofascist outfit had mown down 15 innocents, all while proudly displaying the black flag of ISIS.

It’s Australia’s great shame that the worst atrocity to befall Jewish people since the October 7 massacre should have taken place here. Australia now joins all the other Western countries that are obviously plagued by militant Islam, notwithstanding the heroics of a Muslim bystander, who wrestled a gun off one of the attackers.
Regrettably, this atrocity was just the latest escalation in the Jew hatred that’s lately afflicted my country, starting with local Islamist preachers “rejoicing” in the October 7 carnage within hours of it taking place; continuing with a mob at the Sydney Opera House screaming “f—k the Jews”; and then 100,000 people marching across the Sydney Harbour Bridge yelling “death to the IDF” and “globalize the intifada”. ...
Yet the response of Australia’s leadership to this escalating Jew hatred has been a case study in hand-wringing impotence: no hate preachers have been prosecuted or deported and no hate marches have been banned (as is possible under existing laws), even though these have gone way beyond any possible exercise of freedom of speech or expression of protest into acts of harassment and intimidation. Even now, the prime minister and the New South Wales premier are claiming that the remedy to Jew hatred is even tougher gun laws (even though Australia’s are already among the toughest in the world), rather than an all-out effort to counter the Islamist extremism that justifies “death to the infidels”.

Cabinet advisor Amira Elghawaby secretly paid $80,000 for pro-Palestine research to counter alleged “disinformation” by MPs, senators and media, Access To Information records disclose. Elghawaby’s Office of the Special Representative on Combating Islamophobia had flatly denied the confidential funding at taxpayers’ expense: “Thank you again for this impeccable work.”

A York University researcher assigned to work on pro-Palestine reports at taxpayers’ expense called Canada a “racist settler colonial state,” records show. Cabinet advisor Amira Elghawaby met personally with the author and approved the assignment, but yesterday had no comment: “Thank you for the work you are doing.”
What more can be said?
No amount of succour, of suicidal empathy, of community outreach, of displacing Western civilisation and its customs with a perilous void will counter the emotional retardation that manifests itself as displays of dominance, hatred and ultimately violence.
Ever.
Attacks in Australia will occur again,.
Christmas markets in Europe will shutter.
The remaining open churches in Canada will surrender to the mob.
All for want of even speaking the simple truth:
they're not our friends.
