But ... but ... we have to wear them!:
The Public Health Agency in an internal memo worried about pandemic litter. Staff complained of the “environmental impact” of Canadians throwing away used masks, though the Agency itself landfilled millions prior to the outbreak of Covid-19: “With hindsight, would I have liked it to have been different?”
The Department of Finance yesterday declined comment on its appointment as feminist advisor an Alberta economist who published profane tweets about “men and their horseshit,” and ridiculed male legislators as juvenile and pathetic. “Deal with it,” tweeted Lindsay Tedds, an associate professor at the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy.
Scratching the bottom of the cultural barrel:
As Cyril Connolly once said, “A mistake which is commonly made about neurotics is to suppose that they are interesting. It is not interesting to be always unhappy, engrossed with oneself, malignant and ungrateful, and never quite in touch with reality.” And there is nothing original or inspiring about Her Lack of Royal Highness. She’s the very embodiment of Theodore Dalrymple’s lethal phrase “individualism without individuality.”
She has her millions, her prince and 15 minutes to whine to the audience about how badly done to she is. But she has nothing to say. There’s no there there.

I suppose the first thing to state is that the cartoon was not a 60 Minutes exposé. Neither the protagonist, Pepé Le Pew, the romantic skunk, nor his reluctant amour, the cat, were, or were meant to be seen as, human beings.
Here are the facts, Mr. Blow. Dear Pepé identifies as a proud skunk, not to be confused with Homo sapiens, and it is not for you to deride his species.
There is another bitter flaw in your column — the implication that all skunks are sex-mad. You, Mr. Blow, are conflating the skunk community with the explosively carnal mink, or the equally randy rabbit class. Have you no shame?
Andrew Cuomo is a worthless son-of-a-b!#ch:
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration ordered homes for people with developmental disabilities to accept coronavirus patients — and never rescinded the order
What? She lied? Why am I not at all surprised?:
During that class, Paty was said to have advised Muslim students to leave the room if they thought they might be offended by caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad that he planned to show. Depictions of the Prophet are taboo in Islam.
Two days later, a 13-year-old Muslim student at the school told her father about that class, saying the teacher had asked all Muslim students to leave the classroom and that when she complained, she was suspended for two days. Her father, Moroccan-born Brahim Chnina, 48, complained to the school and the police about discrimination. His subsequent reaction online, in which he identified Paty and the school, then sparked a widespread campaign against the teacher. Prosecutors say there was a “direct causal link” between the campaign and the murder.
But now, the girl has admitted that she was not in attendance during that class, and that she had made up the story to appease her father. She had actually been suspended for truancy the day before the class and wanted to divert his attention. Investigators reportedly said she had an “inferiority complex” and was devoted to her father.
