It Would Be a Shame If Something Happened to the Internet

There are four more shopping days until the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Consider the solitary figure standing in front of five tanks rolling into Tiananmen Square.

He looks to be a slender man in his twenties or thirties who prevented tanks from rolling into Tiananmen Square until he was carried off.

He had far more fortitude than anyone who wastes time and money in the House of Commons:

All members of the Liberal Party, the New Democrats, and the Bloc Quebecois voted against a Conservative amendment to Bill C-10 that would have created clearer stipulations that would count user-generated content as an exception from Bill C-10's sweeping powers.

Conservative amendment to restore user generated content protections in Bill C-10 is defeated. Liberals, NDP and Bloc all vote against.

Not one of these people are worth it. Not a g-d- one.

Liberal, NDP and Bloc voters, this is what you wanted. No one will forget who you are and who you supported.

The funny thing is that you won't be able to signal your dubious virtue once this bill is passed.

There will be no Internet.

You will wither and die without your cyber high-fives.

Pathetic.
