“That’s why Justin Trudeau invested 675 million dollars in funding to revitalize the CBC”

Tell me again how this kind of support didn’t affect the editors at the CBC. pic.twitter.com/T93jq258Fu
As one can see from the unimaginative and perpetually perturbed political elite, they are most displeased:
Twitter owner Elon Musk has changed CBC’s label to “69% Government-funded Media,” after the public broadcaster paused its use of the platform.
CBC stopped its use of Twitter Monday over being labelled government-funded, a term Twitter defines as having some level of government involvement in news content. Musk then initially changed the tag to 70 per cent, to reflect that CBC/Radio-Canada received $1.24 billion in parliamentary appropriations last year and earned $651 million in revenue, such as advertising.
CBC spokesperson Leon Mar said in an email “this is not a serious response. Journalistic independence is not a game.” He said the “real issue” is that “Twitter’s definition of ‘Government-funded Media’ means open to editorial interference by government.”

Imagine being such a self-loathing Cdn that you think our "culture" sucks so bad it can't stand on its own?
— Watcher (@WatcherAfar) April 18, 2023
These guys aren't worried about loss of culture. They're pissed that their gatekeeper has been stripped of power, and Cdns can now promote & consume the culture they want. https://t.co/irlLzVLmP6
(Sidebar: not for long.)

The same PM who said a Canadian is a Canadian when talking about a 15 year old killing American soldiers in Afghanistan calls a Canadian hero that would otherwise get his own Heritage Moment for under any other circumstances an "American billionaire"

What the hell is wrong here?
Justin. Knee-jerk anti-Americanism. Depending on anti-Americanism to deflect from Justin's many, many, many, many faults, failings and acts of corruption.
A combination of all three?
