Having been given sixty days to cease and desist with refining nuclear payload uranium, Iran flaunted its defiance in Israel's face.
Israel responded:
For years, Tehran has funded and armed a global terror network: Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen and militias in Iraq and Syria. These are not mere “proxies,” they are tentacles of the same regime in Tehran that have also attacked American troops, disrupted global shipping and attacked western allies in the Mediterranean, South America and Europe.
Then came Oct. 7, 2023 — the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. This atrocity was carried out by Hamas, with Iranian money, training and weapons. Just as the Nazis sought to annihilate the Jewish people, the Islamic Republic of Iran has vowed, repeatedly, to annihilate the Jewish state.
Through it all, Israel showed remarkable restraint. It absorbed blow after blow, responding proportionately while Iran raced toward nuclear breakout. In the meantime, satellite imagery and intelligence confirmed that Tehran was enriching uranium to near-weapons grade, testing long-range missiles and constructing fortified underground facilities. This week, the International Atomic Energy Agency formally declared Iran in violation of its nuclear non-proliferation obligations. The writing was on the wall, and Iran was racing toward the point of no return. ...
Ultimately, Israel acted not out of choice, but out of necessity. Although the cost of action may be high, the price of inaction for the world’s only Jewish state would be existential.
But let’s be clear: this is not just Israel’s war. Iran’s goal has never been limited to wiping the Jewish state off the map. Its aim is to challenge and destabilize the entire western-led world order. It doesn’t just chant “Death to Israel” — it chants “Death to America,” too. It arms and directs terror groups that have attacked U.S. forces, targeted European interests and disrupted global energy and trade routes.
For years, Israel has taken the hits so others wouldn’t have to. It has fought Iran’s terror proxies on its borders, absorbed missile fire and exposed nuclear violations — all while the rest of the world looked the other way and lectured the pesky Jewish state.
Now, with Iran on the verge of the point of nuclear no return, equivocation is not an option. In moving to eliminate the Iranian threat, Israel was not acting alone, but in defence of the West. And it is doing what much of the world has lacked the will to do: confront a genocidal regime before it is too late.
Israel just did the West a favour. The least the West can do is say “thank you.”

This was all a very surgical strike with some of the best intelligence and extraordinary luck in ages.

Obama could have supported the grassroots democracy movement in Iran but didn't.
The Iranians have been waiting:
Iranians opposed to the despotic tyrannical theocratic Iranian regime cheered the Israeli attack on Iran Thursday night.
Israel struck the Natanz nuclear facility, air defense systems, ballistic missile sites, and reportedly eliminated many of Iran’s top military leaders.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, in a statement made after the attack, noted that Israel’s actions had given the people of Lebanon and Syria a different future with the fall of the Assad regime and the weakening of Hezbollah. He continued, “So too, do the brave people of Iran. And I have a message for them: Our fight is not with you. Our fight is with the brutal dictatorship that has oppressed you for 46 years. I believe that the day of your liberation is near. When that happens, the great friendship between our two ancient people will flourish once again.”
Iranian scholar and filmmaker Faezeh Alavi, who saw her event “From Conflict to Connection: Israelis and Iranians in Dialogue,” at King’s College canceled in February after anti-Israel activists protested, responded to Netanyahu’s speech. She posted on X: “Bibi is spot on. We are sharing the same enemy. The Islamic Republic’s nuclear program must be stopped; otherwise, a nuclear war would start by this regime soon, and Iranian people would lose ANY chance of freeing Iran. Many world leaders also owe Israel for protecting them from this threat.” ...
Famed Iranian dissident Masih Alinejad echoed on X regarding the reported deaths of Iranian military leaders ...
She added in another post, “This regime chose missiles over medicine, proxy wars over prosperity, and repression over reform. Hossein Salami was not a defender of Iran. He was directly responsible for the killing, torture, and imprisonment of peaceful protesters. He led a force that jailed women for dancing, for showing their hair, for simply existing freely. The Islamic Republic built its empire on violence and now that violence is coming back to strike its core. This is not just about geopolitics. It is about justice catching up with those who built power on blood.”
“The Islamic Republic is not the voice of Iran,” she continued. “It is the enemy of Iran—and of its people’s dreams for freedom. Rather than seizing diplomatic openings, the Islamic Republic responded to every IAEA concern and U.S. outreach with nuclear escalation using 60% enrichment as blackmail, and threatening worse if held accountable. This regime never wanted peace. It wanted impunity. This is the war the Islamic Republic prepared for not to defend the Iranian people, but to secure nuclear weapons and ensure its survival through fear and force. While the world negotiates, the regime accelerates. While Iranians demand freedom, the regime builds bombs. The Islamic Republic is not a misunderstood actor—it is a calculated threat. To the region. To its own people. To the truth. My deepest hope is that the safety of people of Iran is protected above all. The people are not the enemy، they are the brave souls who have been resisting tyranny.”

Where does the weak and anti-Israel Canada stand?
Here:
Canada’s foreign affairs minister is urging de-escalation after Israel launched strikes on Iran, targeting its nuclear sites and killing the leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
Anita Anand, in a statement posted to X, warned that “further action” risks triggering “a broader regional conflict with devastating consequences.”
“De-escalation must be the priority,” she wrote Friday morning.
Then march on over to Tehran and de-escalate things, you silly b!#ch.
It must pain you that Israel refuses to lay down and die.
Israel is painfully aware of the consequences of attacking an enemy that, for the past forty years, has been trying to destroy it.
Israel shouldn't have to face the scorn of nations that want it gone but it does.
