When All Else Fails, Rely On Anti-Americanism

It's the refuge of the emotionally retarded never-do-well cousin of the American eagle:

For the Canadian leader, it was a rare poke at the United States.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was defending his government’s historic budget deficit, caused largely by shutting down parts of the economy and ramping up spending on emergency relief programs to fight the coronavirus.

Considering the alternative, he told reporters in Ottawa, it’s been worth it.

“We were able to control the virus better than many of our allies,” he told reporters this month. “Including, particularly, our neighbour.”

(Sidebar: says the pansy who inherited his money and didn't lose his job, but should have, in a crisis he could have avoided if he acted when Trump did and didn't give sixteen tonnes of our personal protective equipment to the communist sh--hole that gave the world this coronavirus. But I digress ...)

Yes, about that:

Why does Canada (8.1%) have a higher mortality percentage than the US (3.8%) does? Indeed, Canada has tested far fewer people than the US has.

Hhmmm ...

Also:
More Americans than Canadians believe it should be mandatory to wear a mask in public, even if that means infringing on an individual’s rights, a poll states.

The poll conducted by the Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies, surveyed approximately 1,523 Canadians (with a margin of error of 2.5 points) and 1,001 Americans (with a margin of error of 3.1 points ) on how they feel about being required to wear a mask in public to protect against the transmission of COVID-19.

But ... but ... we're better!

And:

Two hairstylists in Missouri worked for days with symptoms of COVID-19, seeing a total of 139 clients — none of whom seems to have caught the virus.

This is because everyone in the shop wore masks, according to a new case report published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

**
Heart researchers say there's a surprising reason Canada has seen higher COVID-19 deaths than many countries with fewer health-care resources -- more Canadians live longer with chronic disease, putting them at greater risk of dying from COVID-19.

Pat yourself on the back, Canada!

At least New Brunswick has no more new cases.
