Sir John A. Macdonald Invented Canada

Deal with it:

At those recent 130th anniversary celebrations, which took place before the Kamloops discovery of unmarked graves, former Senator Hugh Segal recalled that Sir John A was known during his political and parliamentary career as “Old Tomorrow.” He knew well the history of the disparate factions that would make up Canada, and had the creativity and vision to see a tomorrow which others could not.

Indigenous people and their supporters cheered in celebration Friday morning as a statue of Sir John A. Macdonald was removed from its stone pedestal in his eastern Ontario hometown.

But without him, there would be no Canada in which to live and which to financially and politically stifle.
