We're All In This Together

 ... or something:

A report released by the UK government has confirmed that 9 out of every 10 deaths related to COVID-19 are found in those who are fully vaccinated. Although the virus variant is the same and the UK approved only one different vaccine (AstraZeneca) from the United States, the data in the U.S. are different. This may be due in large part to the CDC definition used to identify who is “vaccinated.”

U.S. data are also likely to become even more sparse in the coming weeks and months. In addition to the CDC hiding data, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) quietly decided in early February to stop recording deaths attributed to COVID-19.

I suspect the numbers are higher:

A total of 81,353,527 vaccine doses have been administered in Canada as of March 11, 2022. Adverse events (side effects) have been reported by 41,652 people. That’s about 5 people out of every 10,000 people vaccinated who have reported 1 or more adverse events.

  • Of the 41,652 individual reports, 32,989 were considered non-serious (0.041% of all doses administered) and 8,663 were considered serious (0.011% of all doses administered).
  • Most adverse events are mild and include soreness at the site of injection or a slight fever.
  • Serious adverse events are rare, but do occur. They include anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction), which has been reported 796 times for all COVID-19 vaccines across Canada. That’s why you need to wait for a period of time after you receive a vaccination so that you can receive treatment in case of an allergic reaction.

Is that really it?:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is warning that the end of the public health emergency for COVID-19 would cut the agency off from critical data for tracking the disease.

“CDC has no general statutory authority to direct what and how public health data are reported. Data authorities related to COVID-19 test results and hospitalizations are available now because of a public health emergency declaration. When that declaration lapses, so do the federal legal authorities to require the reporting of this important information,” a CDC spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email.

Yes, about that:

The CDC has admitted it is withholding large portions of COVID-19 data — including on vaccine boosters — from the public because it fears the information could be misinterpreted.

The leading public health agency has only published a small sample of the data it has been collecting — despite being two years into the pandemic, sources told the New York Times.

Kristen Nordlund, a CDC spokeswoman, said the reason for the slow release of data is “because basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.”

She added that the CDC’s “priority when gathering any data is to ensure that it’s accurate and actionable.”

But another reason is that the data could be misinterpreted by the public, Nordlund admitted.

But isn't it your job to clarify things?

Or wasn't that your aim?

Oh, we are no longer lepers for the time being.

Good:

The federal definition of “fully vaccinated” will remain at two Covid shots for now but it “obviously depends on the evolution of possible things,” Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos yesterday told reporters. His remarks came as cabinet lifted a Quarantine Act requirement effective April 1 that fully vaccinated travelers show proof of a negative Covid test at the border: “Will ‘fully vaccinated’ as a definition have to incorporate three shots?”
