Super Happy Fun Tanabata Post
Tanabata is a star festival celebrated on the seventh day of either July or August (depending on which calendar you follow or which region you live in). At this time of year, two stars, Altair and Vega, meet. On this day, people write wishes on tanzaku- small, coloured pieces of paper.
One of the biggest celebrations is in Sendai, recently noteworthy due to the massive earthquake in March.
On my cyber-tanzaku, I wish for Sendai and all of the areas affected by the earthquake recover.
Now, make some Tanabata crafts. You know you want to.
