Mid-Week Post

Jammin'.

It has been determined that recovered debris found on Reunion Island belonged to missing flight Malaysia Airlines MH 370:

A section of wing found on Reunion Island has been confirmed to be part of missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.

The Boeing 777 disappeared in March last year on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 passengers and crew on board.

A man with a hatchet and a gun has been killed by police after attacking movie-goers in Tennessee:

A man armed with a hatchet and gun unleashed a volley of pepper spray at audience members inside a movie theatre Wednesday, exchanging fire with a responding officer before being shot dead by a team of commandos as he tried to escape out a back door, police said.

It just goes to show one that underneath it all, there is little to no difference between the NDP and the Liberals and that either party is proficient at abandoning ship:

Several members of the federal Liberal Party in eastern Quebec have resigned to join the NDP.

The executive committee of the GaspĂ©-Magdalen Islands Association had 10 members, but 8 stepped down Monday night in anger, denouncing what they consider a lack of transparency by the Liberal Party of Canada.

Sit back and watch the train wreck. Justin Trudeau helped it along so one cannot heap all the blame on the defectors.

Also: this must be embarrassing:

Canada Post, in fine tradition, refuses to deliver graphic yet concealed images of aborted babies in the mail:

Graphic anti-abortion flyers are scheduled to make their way back to Saskatoon starting today. In the past, recipients have objected to getting the graphic pamphlets, but this time, it's letter carriers who are upset about having to deliver them.

The flyers were originally hand-distributed by members of an organization calling itself the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR).

The pamphlets made their rounds in the city in June and were meant to target Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau's pro-choice stance. The flyers were notable for their graphic images of aborted fetuses.

This time, there's a twist. Instead of being delivered by members of the CCBR, the flyers are slipped into white, unsealed envelopes and delivered through Canada Post.

"Most of the letter carriers that I've heard from [who are] from the union office are horrified," said Julee Sanderson, president of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers in Saskatoon.

"They don't want to be subjected to the public scrutiny by delivering a flyer that obviously is a political flyer made to shock people," she added. "A lot of them feel as though Canada Post should not be engaging in this type of delivery."

(Sidebar: one should remember that when a flyer for any politician or party arrives in the junk mail.)

Perhaps activists should just deliver these envelopes themselves. They will be sure that these envelopes arrive and that voters have even more reasons not to support the China-admiring idiot Justin Trudeau.

After the release of a fifth video in which an intact specimens of unborn and very lucrative humanity are called "matter of line items", Planned Parenthood president, Cecile Richardson, demands the release of all the videos she called "bogus", no doubt hoping that everyone will forget all the "crunchy" details of Planned Parenthood's repulsive and highly illegal practices:

Planned Parenthood Federation of America president Cecile Richards is tired of the Center for Medical Progress releasing the videos one by one, “water torture” style, and, taking a cue from an article in the Wall Street Journal, wants them released all at once.
If it makes this callous b!#ch feel any better, I won't forget these videos and will be more than happy to put them on my blog or link them from time to time.

Because Mark Steyn:

The fifth in an apparent series of twelve Planned Parenthood undercover videos shows Melissa Farrell, director of research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, discussing how to manipulate the abortion procedure in order to ensure the "fetus" is delivered "intact" and thus able to be cannibalized for body parts. As Ms Farrell puts it, if a client "has a specific need for a certain portion of the products of conception and we bake that into our contract, and our protocol, that we follow this. So we deviate from our standard in order to do that."

In other words, their priority is not a "woman's health needs" but a cleanly delivered "fetus" with the relevant "portion of the products of conception" intact - the leg, the liver, the heart, the lung, whatever it is the client has had "baked" into the contract. This is in itself a crime: You're not supposed to manipulate the abortion - and potentially cause more pain and discomfort to the woman - in order to get clean, sellable baby parts. ...

~After I discussed the matter with Sean Hannity on Fox News last week, I got a barrage of abuse from abortion absolutists with a familiar talking point: abortions are "only three per cent" of what Planned Parenthood does. This statistic is very curiously formulated:
The group said that abortions account for three per cent of the 10.9m services its provides in nearly 700 clinics.
Even if you know what that actually means, the correct response is: So what? Do American liberals listen to what they're saying: What percentage of a business model does selling baby parts have to be for it to disturb you? Any murderer could make the same defense: Murderers actually spend very little time murdering. For 99.99 per cent of the time Major Hasan was providing psychiatric services to US military personnel, and standing on the table, opening fire and yelling "Allahu Akbar!" was only 0.01 per cent of his business model. So what?

By the way, Planned Parenthood does more than three percent of just spare part-gathering. Just a little math.

Obama, who promised to meet Iran without pre-conditions in 2008, ignored student protesters in 2009 and has made good on his promise to financially back the mad, theocratic state, now compares Republicans to those who now chant "Death to America":

In a speech delivered at American University in Washington, D.C. on the nuclear deal with Iran, President Obama likened Iranian hardliners who yell "death to America" and are pleased with the status quo to Congressional Republicans who oppose the deal.
"Just because Iranian hard-liners chant 'death to America' does not mean that that's what all Iranians believe," Obama said to strong applause from the audience.

"In fact, it's those hard-liners who are most comfortable with the status quo," Obama said Wednesday afternoon. "It's those hard-liners chanting "death to America" who have been most opposed to the deal."

And yet the Americans still keep him around.

How the Japanese will mark the seventieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War:

In a message to U.S. President Barack Obama, A-bomb survivor Sachie Yoshizaki tells the Nobel laureate he should be the "individual who best understands that nuclear weapons are weapons of mass destruction that cannot coexist with humanity."

(Sidebar: good luck with that, Mrs. Yoshizaki. Obama is a sociopath. It's as pointless as political widows' visits to North Korea.)

How the South Koreans will mark the seventieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War:

The government has decided to designate Aug. 14 an extra public holiday and offer free access to state-run museums and palaces on the weekend when South Korea celebrates’ the 70th anniversary of the nation’s liberation from Japan’s 1910-45 colonial rule.

Some people do not labour under the illusion that wars start in vacuums (three guesses as to who that is).

Also:
The cruelties Japan inflicted on China, Korea, and other Asian nations in the 1930s and 1940s — mass murder, slave labor, biological and chemical warfare, human experimentation, and the forced sexual enslavement of hundreds of thousands of girls and women — truly were horrific. Beijing's demand for a more convincing display of penitence from Japan for what it did to so many helpless Chinese victims is not hard to understand.

But when will we hear a heartfelt apology or see meaningful atonement for the equally ghastly horrors inflicted on countless Chinese victims by their own government?

No force in history has shed more innocent Chinese blood than the Communist regime that has ruled since 1949, when Mao Zedong seized power and officially proclaimed the People's Republic of China. The Japanese occupation had been ruthless, as had the massive civil war between Chiang Kai-shek's Nationalists and the forces commanded by Mao. But with the reign of the Communist Party came violence and terror on a scale China had never before known.

And now, handy-dandy vein-finders:

Those who fear needles are not likely to want to experience the prick more than once. And even experienced medical professionals can miss a vein sometimes, so it helps to have a little guidance. The VeinViewer uses harmless, near-infrared light to show precisely where veins are located and take the guesswork out of the process.
