It Happened On a Monday

For sometimes it does…

We begin a slow crawl toward Christmas, not some undefined winter holiday people can’t bring themselves to mention.

What’s this? What’s this? There’s bribery in the air!

A White House delegation made a secret trip to North Korea in August in what might be an attempt to discourage it from taking provocative steps ahead of the U.S. presidential elections, a South Korean newspaper reported Thursday.

If confirmed, it would mark the second known visit by U.S. officials to Pyongyang this year, following the previous one before the North’s rocket launch in April.

“A U.S. Air Force plane flew into Pyongyang through the Yellow Sea route after leaving Guam on Aug. 17,” the Dong-A Ilbo quoted an unidentified diplomatic source as saying. “This jet stayed in Pyongyang for four days and flew out of the city on Aug. 20.”

The source was quoted as adding it took the same route four months earlier.

Given such a relatively long journey, the newspaper said, the Barack Obama administration might have attempted “in-depth negotiations” with North Korea prior to the Nov. 6 elections.

“Chances are high that the U.S. sought to curb North Korea from taking military provocations and offered some measures in return,” the source said, according to the daily.

Because we all know how keen Obama is to have peace in the Korean Peninsula.

Can one get their Fajr-5 rockets on credit?

Israel on Sunday roundly rejected the United Nations’ endorsement of an independent state of Palestine, announcing it would withhold more than $100 million collected for the Palestinian government to pay debts to Israeli companies.

The Palestinians clearly don’t need Israeli money if they are getting arms support from Iran and “empathy” from Hilary Clinton.

If this isn’t the limit, I don’t know what is:

Chicago Mayor and former Obama advisor Rahm Emanuel has criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu over what is perceived as his public support of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the last election…

Emanuel also said that the White House expects that Netanyahu’s treatment of President Barack Obama will be different, especially at this time.

He said the President was not willing to accept degrading treatment by the Israeli Prime Minister. "It is inconceivable that the Prime Minister would behave the way Netanyahu is behaving,” said Emanuel…

When has Obama, sadly re-elected, ever supported Israel? He has gone out of his way to support anyone but. His treatment of Netanyahu is the same for everyone else- complete condescension (who was it again who blew off Netanyahu to appear on The View?). I’m told narcissists are like that. They have an inability to be thoughtful. For the noted Obama toady mayor of Chicago to be so patronising and admonishing as to even suggest that Netanyahu owes Obama anything other complete distain and distrust shows the moral and logical disconnect only a leftist can muster.

Go to hell, Rahm Emmanuel, and take your “president” with you.

Do you need further proof that liberalism/leftism are mental illnesses? Here you go.

Sarah Palin appeared on the last “On the Record” to break down simply and aggressively the Obama administration’s missteps, especially its lack of transparency.

Palin also discusses the impending “fiscal cliff” and Newt Gingrich’s recent criticism of Obama’s approach to the impending deadline.

She also criticizes the use of the term “fiscal cliff,” stating that the United States has already gone over the cliff, long ago. The only question is “how hard are we going to thump” at the bottom of the cliff…

If I were a Republican, I would take my Christmas holiday early. Do it, Republicans. Save yourselves while you still can. Walk away from Obama’s mess. Let him clean it up all by himself. He will paint himself as a hero and everyone else as a victimiser but that’s what he does (RE: election). How forgiving will the gullible masses be when there is no more dough?

"There has been too much debt. Too much pain. But here is the only reasonable compromise. Just walk away."

And now, Curious George’s great escape, or rather, how the creators of Curious George escaped from tyranny to go on and produce one of the world’s most endearing children’s books series. Enjoy.
