What would we do without "experts"?:
The movement to keep oil and gas in the ground has reached Canada, as Quebec joined the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance this week — becoming the first North American member of a new group being launched at the United Nations climate conference in Glasgow that wants to phase out the production of oil and gas.
How is that deal with Maine working out, Quebec?
Oh, wait ...
Spite against Alberta can make you really ugly, Quebec.
Jonathan Wilkinson's wife owns a stock in a gas company:
A long-promised federal law for Canadians who lose work due to climate change regulations will be introduced in Parliament shortly, says Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson. The Just Transition Act was promised in 2019: “What do you mean by just transition?”
Learn to code and then get laid off from that.
You cannot breathe China's air but you will be sold to it:
China, of course, is the 11th dirtiest country in the world, and the top polluter of carbon dioxide gas, and is currently trying its best to worsen its pollution reputation by ramping up its own coal production.
What our faux prime minister, Justin Trudeau, never mentions when he hikes the carbon tax on Canadians, is that Canada annually exports 3.96 million tonnes of coal to China — up by 21% in 2021.
Trudeau then announced a hard cap on oil and gas emissions — a step to punish our country’s energy suppliers, the very companies whose innovation is desperately needed in efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
Finally, Trudeau announced that the federal government will divest billions of dollars globally from projects and investments related to oil and gas. Why does Canada invest in oil and gas projects abroad while scapegoating and punishing this sector in Canada?
Anyone out west should be able to see that Justin is an unreasonable narcissist and does not want Canadian oil to fuel vehicles or heat homes. Attempting to appeal to him is not just a colossal waste of time but an act of treason:
Moe said Saskatchewan and other provinces weren’t notified of the official policy change prior to Trudeau’s speech while attending COP26, the UN climate conference currently taking place in Scotland, though the Liberals promised the cap in their recent election platform.
The move was positioned as a step towards reaching net zero emissions by 2050.
“We don’t know what the impact will be on the Saskatchewan energy industry yet,” Moe said, but he encouraged the feds to push carbon capture technology to cut down on emissions.
The impact is that Justin gets to bury Saskatchewan.
Get with it, Moe.
It's time for the east to freeze in the dark:
The Biden Administration is considering shutting down a Michigan oil pipeline in another push to get the U.S, away from fossil fuels, despite warnings from Republican lawmakers who believe the move would result in fuel price shocks throughout the Midwest.
The administration is exploring the possibility of terminating the Line 5 pipeline - which links Superior, Wisconsin, with Sarnia, Ontario - and gathering data to determine if shutting down the line will cause a surge in fuel pricing, according to published reports.
Let's not build any pipelines or anything in case the more money-grubbing of our national companions get offended and block progress.
What, doe$ one $uppo$e, could be the rea$on for that?
