Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn

Those who had worked out the calculations were to blame, those who had refigured the calculations, those who had calculated the plan”— which consisted of how to produce food and heat with zeros. Those to blame weren’t the ones who compelled but the ones who calculated! If the planning turned out to be inflated, the spetsy were the ones to blame. Because the figures did not jibe, “this was the fault of the spetsy, not of the Council of Labor and Defense” and “not even of the responsible men in charge of Glavtop—the Main Fuels Committee.

Reading the history of any communist country will show one that every yearly of five year plan, every poorly thought-out scheme and ultimately every failure was done for the simple reason that it could be done and no one would talk anyone out of it.

As one sees:

About 9,000 New York City workers, including firefighters and police officers, were placed on unpaid leave Monday for not complying with Mayor Bill de Blasio’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

“Nine thousand people [were] placed on leave without pay today,” Mitch Schwartz, a spokesperson for de Blasio’s office, told media outlets on Monday. “The rest are in various stages of having their accommodation requests reviewed. They can be at work.”

With several provinces now beginning to drop the hammer of COVID-19 vaccine mandates for their health-care workers, hundreds of frontline staff are opting to leave their jobs instead of getting the jab.

Over 4,000 health-care workers in B.C. were placed on unpaid leave after failing to show proof of vaccination, many of which could face being fired from their job.

Vaccine mandates for health-care workers in Alberta and Quebec are also looming, prompting thousands of unvaccinated staff to either get vaccinated or be forced to leave.

(Sidebar: well, some of them have proved to be quick on their feet.)

Ontario doctor Rochagne Kilian will no longer be able to practice medicine after a provincial regulator barred her from doing so.

It's not about public health.

It never was.
