For a Tuesday

Lots to talk about...

Not letting any other motion take away their thunder, the Liberals voted against a motion that would condemn all forms of bigotry:

All 165 Liberal MPs in the House of Commons Tuesday, led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, voted against a motion calling on MPs to condemn “all forms of systemic racism, religious intolerance and discrimination” in the wake of  “the recent and senseless violent acts at a Quebec City mosque.”

The Liberal rejection of that motion came hours after Alexandre Bissonnette, accused of six murders at that mosque, made a brief court appearance in Quebec City.

Meanwhile, the 126 Conservative, New Democrat, and Bloc Quebecois MPs, as well as the lone Green Party MP voted in favour of the motion, put forward by Conservative MP David Anderson, which would have, among other things, asked a parliamentary committee to identify ways to reduce or eliminate “all types of discrimination in Canada”, including “discrimination of Muslims, Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus and other religious communities.”

The Tories are not getting it (like the invertebrate Patrick Brown and his toadyish descent into censorship and division). Laws already exist in Canada to prevent or redress unfair discrimination. Motion 103 exists to elevate Islam over all others and censor any criticism of it.

David Anderson's motion does prove one thing, however: that whatever odious or totalitarian ploy is hatched, the Liberals are lock-step with one another.

Also - this opinion piece will disappear if Motion 103 passes:

So I say to the petitioners of E-411 that I have received their opinion loud and clear. And now I would like to make up my own mind about Islam, as I do with all contentious issues: that is, according to primary sources, credible commentators, legitimate opinion surveys and so forth.

I do not wish to be told by a petition or by the recommendations of a study based on that petition what I must think — or say in a considered and thoughtful way — about any ideology or belief system in deference to the sensibilities of a specific group in order to earn a seal of non-Islamophobic approval from agenda-driven advocacy groups and their political allies.

I am of the belief that any polls like this that come out are limited in their scope and do not represent Canadians on the whole, no matter how much they purport to be. I believe the patience for cramming in unvetted or poorly vetted migrants into the country is waning and is so for many reasons. Unrestricted immigration into the country benefits political parties keen on having voters blocks but does little in what others hope that they will do - pay the taxes they don't want to pay, have the children they don't want to have and build a society into something better:

This was an infidel country, whose way of life we Muslims were supposed to oppose and reject. Why was it, then, so much better run, better led, and made for such better lives than the places we came from? Shouldn't the places where Allah was worshipped and His laws obeyed have been at peace and wealthy, and the unbelievers' countries ignorant, poor, and at war?

Also:

Canada will continue to accept asylum seekers crossing illegally from the United States but will ensure security measures are taken to keep Canadians safe, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday.

The Canada Border Services Agency, or CBSA, said at a news conference that it had converted an unused basement into a refugee claimant processing center. Both the border agency and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are reassigning staff from other locations in the province, as needed, to accommodate rising demand.

Never get a snowboard instructor do a leader's job.

Speaking of the snowboard instructor....

"As for the Sherbrooke town hall, I would like to express my sincere regrets," read the letter, written in English and signed by Trudeau.

It took him over a month to "apologise" for his rudeness and arrogance.

People voted for this @$$hole and that irritates me.

After being shamed into helping the people Trudeau was "disgusted" to help, the Liberal government will grant asylum to only 1, 200 Yazidis:

Some 1,200 people considered to be among the most vulnerable refugees in the world are to be housed in Canada by the end of this year, the Trudeau government announced Tuesday — a move praised by Conservative MP Michelle Rempel as a message to the world that the persecuted Yazidi population needs to be a greater priority for safe-haven countries.

Nearly 400 Yazidi refugees and other survivors of Islamist extremists have already been accepted over the last four months, Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen said in announcing the initiative, which is expected to cost $28 million.

But unlike the thousands of refugees fleeing violence in Syria who were greeted by flashing cameras and intense public exposure, the Yazidis have been entering the country with no fanfare. That won't change, say government officials who are protecting the identity of the asylum seekers because of just how vulnerable they are.

(Sidebar: lying sacks of sh--. That is not the reason why.)

It's like Sweden wants to prove Trump right:

The constant danger from migrants in no-go areas have led a lot of police to just give up. An estimated 80 percent of police are considering another career because of the violence and the government not letting them properly do their jobs due to political correctness.

Swedish police Sergeant Peter Larsson noted: “The violence against us in the police and the paramedics and firefighters, has become much worse. We’re talking about stone throwing, violence, fires. It has become much worse in recent years.”

American ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley cares not for the UN's unveiled anti-semitism:

“The discussion was not about Hezbollah’s illegal build-up of rockets in Lebanon,” Ambassador Haley said. “It was not about the money and weapons Iran provides to terrorists. It was not about how we defeat ISIS. It was not about how we hold Bashar al-Assad accountable for the slaughter of hundreds and thousands of civilians. No, instead, the meeting focused on criticizing Israel, the one true democracy in the Middle East. I am new around here, but I understand that’s how the Council has operated, month after month, for decades. I am here to underscore the ironclad support of the United States for Israel. I’m here to emphasize the United States is determined to stand up to the UN’s anti-Israel bias.”

Malaysian authorities are still trying to determine how North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-Un's elder brother, Jong-Nam, died:

Malaysian authorities said on Tuesday they had still to establish what was used to kill the estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and the body had not been formally identified as no next of kin have come forward.

Kim Jong Nam was killed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Feb. 13 with what police believe was a fast-acting poison. Malaysia's deputy prime minister has previously named the victim as Kim Jong Nam, though authorities have been unable to conduct DNA tests.

"The cause of death and identity are still pending," Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, director general of health at Malaysia's health ministry, told reporters.

The health ministry official said no DNA samples had been received from the next of kin.

South Korean and U.S. officials have said they believe North Korean agents assassinated Kim Jong Nam, who had been living in the Chinese territory of Macau under Beijing's protection.

Malaysia has urged Kim Jong Nam's next-of-kin to claim the body and help with the inquiry, which has sparked a diplomatic row with North Korea, whose officials want the body handed over directly.

And now, times when cats have crashed the proverbial party:
