Jobs or "Jobs"?

Statistics Canada says the economy added nearly one million jobs in June as businesses forced closed by the pandemic began to reopen.

The agency says 953,000 jobs were added last month, including 488,000 full-time and 465,000 part-time positions.

Or did people just resume jobs after some lockdown restrictions were lifted.

Consider this:

As of July 5th, there were 8.25 million unique applicants (new applicants) adding to a total of 19.02 million applicants. The total number of jobs that the article claims were added (both part and full time) is 1,441,000, nearly same number lost in March.

So, people resumed jobs, almost the same amount lost in March, but there are new CERB applicants and these benefits (read: welfare bribes) will continue until December?

Interesting ...

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urged Donald Trump to think twice Monday before imposing new tariffs on Canadian aluminum, saying the sector is emerging from the pandemic-induced production stance that prompted the White House to consider such measures in the first place.

Take note how much Trump doesn't care what you think, Justin.
