We Can Stop Pretending That This Was About a Virus Now, Right?

Or not?:

**

“The vaccines themselves have basically now become obsolete as the virus has continued to mutate,” McCullough told NTD’s “Capitol Report” in an interview broadcast on Wednesday. “So at this point of time, the vaccine mandates have to be dropped across the board.”

McCullough said some recent studies have shown the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines dropped significantly with the new variants.

Just to remind everyone, the provincial Liberal Party of Ontario did its utmost to deprive autistic children of help they needed:

The Ontario Liberals called on Ontario Premier Doug Ford to mandate booster shots for vaccine passports on Thursday.

The press release said this measure is being proposed to ensure Ontario’s reopening announcement does not lead to another lockdown.

“Ontarians have been doing our part to fight COVID-19 and we deserve a plan to beat the fifth wave so we can safely return to doing the things we all love,” said Liberal leader Steven Del Duca. “That’s why we are calling on Doug Ford to make the booster shot a requirement for vaccine certificates.”

This douche

In other words, they put on a show to distract voters from the truth: Del Duca and the Liberals had 15 years to improve Ontario’s education system. Instead, they tried to eliminate government-funded intensive behaviour therapy for autistic children and closed numerous rural schools, redirecting those students into “super schools” that are now bursting at the seams. The OLP’s track record on education is dubious at best, and it speaks to the larger issue with them: they will say anything to get elected, and they cannot be trusted to follow through on their promises.

This time will be different though, right?

Remember when the Liberals promised 24-7 primary care, then slashed funding for medical residents when close to a million people lacked a family physician? Del Duca hopes voters don’t.

Think back to when they passed the School Boards Collective Bargaining Act, enshrining the right to strike, only to legislate teachers back to work a year later. Del Duca is counting on the more than one million unionized workers forgetting that.

How about the time the Liberals ignored the will of 73 per cent of Ontarians and privatized Hydro One, sending prices skyrocketing and costing the province $1.8 billion? Del Duca definitely hopes voters don’t remember that.

What kind of country are we living in when we have to hide children from the government?:

The RCMP has issued a Canada-wide warrant for a man who allegedly abducted his seven-year-old daughter in an effort to prevent her from getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Okay, Canadians, who did you vote for?:

What the index shows, he said, is that other nations managed to maintain hospitalization and death rates at levels comparable to Canada — but without the harsh restrictions and lockdowns.

“That creates the question, did these measures actually work, or did we punish ourselves more than we needed to without really gaining anything on the health side,” he said.

“We didn’t seem to get very much, even though we paid a heavy price in other areas.”

He added, “We closed schools longer than anyone else, closed restaurants, bars and shopping longer than anyone else, and what did we get for that?”

Canada scored a failing grade in economic misery, scoring second-last between the United States and Spain.
