Oh, dear:
The out-of-control fire near Fort McMurray has destroyed an oilsands camp that was evacuated Monday as the blaze continues to grow and threatens multi-billion-dollar facilities in northern Alberta, which have again been forced to shutdown.
Hot, dry conditions and winds pushed the fire towards oilsands facilities over the course of Monday night and Tuesday morning and forced the evacuation of 8,000 workers northbound away from the flames, which destroyed the camp, which is owned by Calgary-based Horizon North Logistics Ltd.
