The World Is Taking Crazy Pills (Pt. 13)

You might as well.

The new King George couldn't eat without a "taster":

The U.S. Secret Service is tight-lipped about whether presidents utilize "food tasters” to ensure a commander in chief’s meals are safe to consume. But comments by Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) appear to confirm what is widely assumed: the president’s food must pass inspection before eating can commence.

His porridge is too hot.

Related: the world no longer loves Obama:

In 2009, 130 countries were polled, and the median approval level of United States leadership was 49%.

That number dropped to 41% in 2012, which was approaching worldwide approval numbers posted for George W. Bush’s last two years of his presidency, when his numbers stood at 38% in 2007 and 34% in 2008.

In Africa, Obama’s numbers dropped from 85% in 2009 to 70% in 2012; in the Americas the numbers plummeted from 53% to 40%. In Europe, the decrease was more sudden, running from 47% in 2009 to 45% in 2010 and 42% in 2011. In 2012, Obama's approval rating nosedived to 36% as the European economy started to tank.

What were all those apology tours for? I suppose this is the world waking up to this empty-suit.

What kind of crazy pills was this thing taking?

An event with MP Stephen Woodworth at the University of Waterloo yesterday was derailed as protestors shouted down the speaker, preventing Mr. Woodworth from continuing his presentation to the students assembled. ...

Although campus security was present, they failed to take any kind of action to allow Mr. Woodworth to continue his presentation. When asked to intervene they declined to do so, stating that unless the protesters became violent, they could not step in.

This is the left and this is what they stand for. They've gone beyond the mere fascistic censorship. They've taken to wearing God-knows-what. These guys must be aware that no one is laughing with them but at them. They can't fool themselves all the time into thinking that they are somehow the new Voltaires. I retract that. They don't know who Voltaire is and certainly couldn't spell it. If you spend your day constructing cloth nether-bits and wondering why people find you so physically and socially repellent, you let useful knowledge go to the wayside.

This is how they dupe themselves apparently because I can't imagine a sane person looking at this and thinking: "Wow. Those guys really have it together. I'm going to subscribe to their newsletter."

I must warn you if you do- it's in crayon.

Yes but then there's the galactose-alpha-1,3,galactotransferase and the forty-six chromosomes humans have and the opposable thumbs and the ability to reason and... well... God just made us different, Richard. You know? God.

This should surprise no one:

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has warned that a UN document demanding global standards to prevent violence against women is un-Islamic and would lead to the "complete degradation of society."

Governments and NGOs from around the world are to wrap up two weeks of discussions in New York on ways to end violence against women and children with the aim of reaching a consensus by Friday.

But the Muslim Brotherhood, from which President Mohamed Morsi hails, said the document includes articles "that contradict established principles of Islam, undermine Islamic ethics" and, if ratified, "would lead to the complete disintegration of society."

Now, where is the populist revolt against Islamism?

Let's not be mistaken. The UN is toothless and always had an agenda. Whatever will the UN do with countries it helps prop up?

Rest assured that this pope will treat Islam like the heresy that it is and its violent followers as pariahs that they should be:

As Cardinal Ratzinger, he held bigoted views. He opposed Turkey’s entry into the European Union on the grounds that it “should seek its future among Islamic organizations, not in the Christian-rooted Europe.” That was strange coming from someone concerned about the bigotry of some Muslim nations toward their Christian minorities.
He thought that one could not have a rational dialogue with Muslims because they regard the Qur’an as the immutable word of God. That was odd coming from someone who believed in papal infallibility.
He thought Islam had difficulty adapting to modern life. Perhaps — but arguably less so than the Vatican.

I would call Siddiqui a fool but that would be an insult to fools. The Koran is the word of Mohammad, the war-mongering pedophile who came long after Moses and Jesus Christ. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's Regensburg lecture was spot on then and in the time of Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaiologos. How did Islam gain and maintain the grip it had? Through force. What happened when Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI recounted this?

Muslims around the world have reacted furiously to the comments Tuesday by Benedict XVI, in which he quoted from an obscure Medieval text referred to some of the teachings of the Prophet Mohammad as "evil and inhuman." ...

Assailants hurled firebombs and opened fire at five churches in the West Bank and Gaza on Saturday, causing no injuries, but sparking fears of a rift between Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

The attacks on four of the 10 churches in the West Bank town of Nablus, and on the Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza City unsettled a relatively peaceful coexistence in the city.

The assaults began with fire bombings of Nablus' Anglican and Greek Orthodox churches, which left trails of black scorch marks in their wake. At least five firebombs were hurled at the Anglican church, whose door was later set ablaze in a separate attack. Smoke billowed from the church as firefighters put out the flames
In a phone call to The Associated Press, a group calling itself the "Lions of Monotheism" claimed responsibility, saying the attacks were meant to protest the pope's remarks about Islam.

Well, you sure showed him!

Oh, and what the pope teaches is infallible. If Siddiqui would bother to read anything other than a chronologically and theologically incongruous text and his own screeds, he might know that.

And now, to take your mind off of the insanity the world inflicts on itself, take a look at these animals. Some pictures show the wonders of nature, some are amusing and cute, and others are rather tragic.
