(SEE: Handle, Coronavirus, People, Totally)

But I repeat myself again ...

A person in British Columbia has died on March 8, after contracting COVID-19, according to the province’s health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

I think we know whose fault this is, don't we, Theresa Tam and Patty Hajdu?:

Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam noted Friday that most of the cases in Canada have been mild, and the patients are self isolating at home. About seven people are in hospital, but she said that doesn’t necessarily mean they are severely ill, adding that Canada is well equipped to deal with the outbreak. ...

Ottawa is increasing its funding for COVID-19 research by $20 million, Health Minister Patty Hajdu announced Friday, after concluding that the $7 million it had planned to spend isn’t enough.

By now, people should be able to see beyond the reassurances of useful idiots and the glaringly obvious attempts of the weak and stupid government trying to cover its own @$$ with protective gear far too late in the game and see things as they actually are:

Add to that a run on masks and other personal protective equipment, a documented shortage of critical care beds, and a new federal warning to all persons entering Canada from anywhere in the world to “self-monitor” for symptoms of COVID-19, and you see a system that could quickly come to a breaking point.

That’s despite federal insistence the health system is “well-prepared” to deal with the growing numbers of confirmed cases in Canada — 51 as of Friday — and to trace all their contacts to contain the spread, according to Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam.

There is a reason why the entire country of Italy has been shut down, why Poland has cancelled its March for the Living and why North Korea is having trouble hiding its own figures of this virus.

It's because of sh---y China:

China’s ambassador to Canada says the Trudeau government’s assistance on combating coronavirus will not improve Canada-China relations

At a press conference on Thursday, Chinese Ambassador Cong Peiwu said that Canada-China relations remain poor, shutting down suggestions that cooperation on coronavirus has helped to mend relations.

“You know the outstanding issue for the bilateral relationship,” he said.

Cong did praise Canada’s decision not to restrict air travel between Canada and Mainland China, despite Air Canada limiting its flights on its own accord.

Cong suggested that cooperation on coronavirus will not help Canada repatriate Canadian Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor from a Chinese prison.

Thanks for not not shutting us out, Canada.

By the way, we're still keeping your citizens.

MacArthur was right and we all know it.
