China's North American Vassal State

This is what a country that once had self-respect looks like:

In Beijing, however, a spokesman for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday denied there are limits on ground time for cargo jets in Shanghai. He was responding to a question about Mr. Trudeau’s comments on Tuesday.

“As to the incident involving two Canadian flights returning empty, we have checked with the competent department and found relevant reports to be inaccurate,” Geng Shuang, a spokesman for the foreign ministry, told a press briefing.

The Canadian government says about one million of the face masks it has purchased from China have failed to meet proper standards for health care professionals and will not be distributed to provinces or cities.

(Sidebar: don't worry. China will replace these faulty masks and swabs with more faulty crap.)

We all know how trustworthy China can be!:
In speeches and public testimony this year, Foreign Affairs Minister François-Philippe Champagne and Ambassador Dominic Barton have expressed concern for Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig – who on Thursday will mark 500 days in Chinese custody – as well as Robert Schellenberg, who was sentenced to death last year on drug-related charges.

But neither the ambassador nor the minister have mentioned Fan Wei, who like Mr. Schellenberg was sentenced to death on drug charges last year at the height of Beijing’s rage over the arrest of Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s chief financial officer.

The Chinese consulate general in Calgary has publicly criticized Alberta Premier Jason Kenney for “interfering in China’s internal affairs” after the premier  tweeted his support for a friend, a Chinese democracy activist, arrested on the weekend in Beijing’s escalating crackdown on democracy-protest organizers in Hong Kong.
